8 Healthy Daily Habits For The Busy Entrepreneurial Person
As a Girl Boss, myself, I like to stay busy. However, being busy all the time can cause us to forget certain important habits. We tend to focus on whats in front of us and forget to look at the big picture.
Sometimes, we need to take a step back and breathe.
Yep, breathe.
Simple.
Yet, we lose focus of the bigger picture and it can affects us in the long run. So, I wrote here 8 healthy daily habits for us to remember.
1. Wake up early.
When you get up early, you allow yourself more day light time to do your activities and tasks for the day. Day light gives us energy. I know some people are more of a night person, but day light is necessary as well. Working at night only can tire us more and less gets done. When you start your day early, you end it earlier. This can give you extra time to rest and recuperate for the next day. This is the perfect time for some self care.
2. Stretch and exercise.
Daily stretches are very beneficial not only for your body, but also for your mind. Our bodies need movement. We are not meant to be vegetable in our comfy beds or chairs. Movement gives our muscles strength. Therefore, when you stretch and/or exercise daily, you give yourself more strength and energy to work with.
3. Stay hydrated.
Water. Water. Water. Water is your best friend. And if it isn’t. Start making it your best friend. Staying hydrated can be tedious, if you’re not used to it. I know I have a hard time with it. Best thing to do is to always keep a water bottle with you. If you’re stuck having to carry it, it’ll remind you to drink as well.
4. Stay positive.
Positivity is extremely important for our entrepreneurial brain. The Law of Attraction states that positivity manifests positivity and negativity manifest negativity. So, when we think negative more negative things will appear. It starts to become a vicious cycle. Break the cycle with positive thoughts and words. Being positive can be hard when things are looking down, but it does make a difference.
5. Keep a clean space.
Keeping your work area clean and decluttered allows your brain to focus on the task at hand. When we have a cluttered desk or work area, the brain tends to focus on the mess. Sometimes we do this subconsciously. So, you may think your mess isn’t affecting you, but it is. Keeping it clean and tidy will make you more productive. Maintain it so that you don’t have to clean up every time you want to work on something.
6. Plan for tomorrow.
Setting up for the next day can alleviate stress in the mornings. It helps with getting started with your day. There will be no wasted time thinking about what needs to be done and what not. So, plan for tomorrow efficiently and more gets done with less stress.
7. Priorize.
This is a sensitive topic for me. I believe priorities are the most important thing to have. When you know what your priorities are, you tend to them properly. Take time to sit down in a quiet space and really think about what is most important to you. Make a list and keep it in mind. Sometimes we waste time doing something that isn’t as important, while another “something” is waiting for our attention.
8. Sleep well.
Oh, sleep. We all love and need sleep. Our mind and body require rest. I know sometimes we have to sacrifice some sleep time to get something done, but without sleep our brains cannot function properly. Now, you miss one day of sleep and you’re fine. However, if you are sleeping 2–3 hours a day only, eventually your brain gets tired and it will show. We should all get the full 6–8 hours recommended a night. Trust that proper and regular sleep will allow you to tend to your activities with more attention and energy.
Well, there you have it. I hope this helps you be more efficient and productive throughout your day.
